MIT-Kalaniyot Visiting Fellows are distinguished professors from Israeli universities who are short-term visitors to our vibrant community at MIT.
This role fosters intellectual exchange and integration, providing a unique opportunity for both the Fellow and the host community.
Expectations and Support
Visiting Fellows are important members of our community and are expected to:
- Regularly join the community lunch to engage with faculty, researchers, and students.
- Deliver a short presentation to the community about their current research or work.
Please Note:
- A Fellow’s visit is initiated by an invitation from an MIT Faculty Member.
- The MIT Faculty Host is fully responsible for securing any necessary funding and managing the Fellow’s full onboarding process.
- All Visiting Fellows require final approval from the MIT-Kalaniyot Board.
Application and Process Information (Invitation Only)
The MIT-Kalaniyot Visiting Fellow position is by invitation only, and we do not accept or review unsolicited applications or resumes.
The process for establishing a Visiting Fellow is initiated internally by a current MIT faculty member acting as the host. Faculty members who wish to host a Visiting Fellow must first confirm funding and administrative support before submitting a candidate’s information (CV and short bio) for review and final approval by the MIT-Kalaniyot Board.
If you are an Israeli professor interested in this opportunity, we encourage you to connect directly with the relevant MIT faculty members within your field of study.
